It all began with a dream – a dream fueled by passion, nurtured by determination, and guided by a vision for a sustainable future. Ina, the founder, found herself at the intersection of urban living and love for agriculture. Although she was restricted to a quarter acre in an HOA-controlled subdivision, her dream of cultivating fresh, organic produce burned brightly.

Her unwavering determination and innovative spirit led her on a transformative journey, sparked by a conversation with her daughter, to revolutionize urban agriculture through the pioneering method of hydroponic farming. She immersed herself in the world of agriculture. Workshops, conferences, books, and visits to farms in other cities became her tools for learning. Months of meticulous planning and preparation culminated in the realization of her dream – the opening of her own urban farm in the heart of Covington.
The Birth of I Urban Farm
Ina's vision extended beyond urban farming; driven by a passion for community and sustainability, she founded I Urban Farm in Covington, GA, showcasing the transformative synergy of eco-friendly practices and diverse cultivation.
The Oasis Unveiled
A quarter acre transformed into a flouring oasis under the protection of a hoop house, housing an array of hydroponic systems. The first crops of lettuce and herbs not only thrived but also marked the beginning of a remarkable journey.
Empowering Change
In no time the farm begin supplying fresh, locally-grown produce to the community. She yearned to empower others, and to share the knowledge she acquired, so she established training programs, that focused on backyard farming.
